NextGen eBasket – Competition Rules (2025)
1. General Rules
1.1. Eligibility: Participation in NextGen eBasket is only possible through qualifications
organized by NextGen eBasket, in accordance with the principles of the Esports Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and IESF.
1.2. Affiliation: This league is not affiliated with or sponsored by 2K Sports or its licensors.
1.3. Competition Format: The competition is held exclusively in a 1v1 format (face-to-face
duels).
1.4. Platform: All matches are played exclusively on PlayStation consoles.
1.5. Game Mode: The competition is played on NBA 2K with Hall of Fame difficulty.
1.6. Code of Conduct: All participants must adhere to the Code of Conduct and integrity
standards set by NextGen eBasket.
1.7. Competition Schedule: Matches are played daily, and the schedule is published at least 12 hours in advance on the official website.
1.8. Match Supervision: Matches are supervised by esports officials delegated by local esports federations, ensuring compliance with anti-doping regulations and ESIC principles.
1.9. Broadcasting: All matches are broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch.
1.10. Streaming: During live broadcasts, only video footage is streamed (audio from the hubs is not transmitted).
1.11. Professional Contracts: Players sign professional contracts with esports clubs and receive financial compensation, with additional performance-based bonuses.
1.12. Age Requirement: Players must be at least 18 years old.
1.13. Liability: Players who cause damage to the club or league may be held criminally and financially liable, under the jurisdiction of the Basic Court in Banja Luka.
1.14. Player Commitment: All participants must give their maximum effort in every match,
regardless of previous results or the current score.
1.15. Disqualification: NextGen eBasket reserves the right to permanently disqualify players
in the event of rule violations. Legal consequences may also apply.
2. Strictly Prohibited
2.1. Use of banned substances (drugs, doping, alcohol).
2.2. Use of mobile phones in esports hubs during competitions.
2.3. Leaving esports hubs during matches and returning afterward.
2.4. Communication with individuals outside the hubs during competition.
2.5. Any form of betting.
2.6. Match-fixing or any form of result manipulation.
3. Competition Rules – Basketball (NBA 2K)
3.1. Game Format: The competition is held in NBA 2K, played on PlayStation consoles.
3.2. Tournament Structure:
• Players are divided into mini-tournaments with 4-5 participants.
• The round-robin system is used (each player plays against every other player).
3.3. Scoring System:
• Win: 2 points
• Loss: 1 point
3.4. Determining the Winner:
• The winner of the mini-tournament is the player with the highest win percentage.
• If two or more players have the same number of points, the ranking is determined based
on:
1. Head-to-head results
2. Point difference
3. Total points scored
3.5. Financial Rewards:
• The top two players in each mini-tournament receive additional financial rewards.
• The last-placed player forfeits the prize of the second-placed player.
3.6. Aggregate Table:
• All results are recorded in an aggregate table, tracking outcomes across all minitournaments.
• Ranking is based on win percentage.
3.7. Seasonal Prizes:
• Monthly and annual winners receive valuable prizes and qualify for international
tournaments organized by IESF.
4. In-Game Settings (NBA 2K)
4.1. Age Requirement: Players must be 18+ years old.
4.2. Match Format:
• 4 quarters of 5 minutes each.
• If a match is tied after regulation time, overtime of 3 minutes is played until a winner is determined.
4.3. Game Settings:
• Hall of Fame difficulty.
• Injuries: Off (injuries are disabled).
• Fatigue: On (player fatigue is enabled).
• Camera: Broadcast.
5. Other Rules
5.1. Live Updates: All match results are updated online in real-time.
5.2. Match Interruptions:
• If a match is interrupted and cannot resume within 60 minutes, it will be considered
interrupted and will not be replayed.
5.3. Replay Conditions: A match may only be replayed if:
An incorrect team was selected.
Home/away status was assigned incorrectly. The match started earlier than scheduled. Technical issues prevented the match from being completed.
5.4. Substitutions:
If a player cannot continue the competition, organizers may arrange a substitution.
